Northland Safety Ltd is owned and operated by Andy Corson. Andy also operates Stay Safe which specialise in health and safety in the tourism sector. He holds a Grad.dip.OHS from Massey University, NZISM Professional Level accreditation, Cert.IOSH (Institute of Occupational Health and Safety) and is a HASANZ registered health and safety advisor.
Andy grew up around plant and machinery in a family run furniture manufacturing business. Rather than taking over the family business he moved in to tourism where he held many roles aroudn the globe. Roles included operations for passenger transport companies and GM of an adventure activity operation. In 2008 he set up a training company and became qualified in adult learning and teaching. With misinformation and scaremongering raging in 2015, prior to the introduction of the HSWA, he decided to undertake a Grad.dip.OHS and get the facts straight. A common theme throughout his tourism roles and training business is a desire to demystify the unknown and help people make wise informed decisions. It is this same desire that he brings to providing professional guidance around health and safety.
